Is it possible to download a free trial version of BOARD from the website ?
The short answer is no you cannot download a trial version. Your Sales manager can arrange for a "Try & Buy" key to a specific customer usually for a POC. In all cases such a key should be accompanied by a level of training due to the power of BOARD. In Southern region they have had a 1 day training session where at the end the attendee's were given a try&buy key. Other solutions in the PURE BI would do offer this but none of the solutions with any planning functionality give this. Another approach is a 1 day workshop where you provide basic training and they can get hands on but under supervision.
I can tell you personally that in a previous job role my company had a try and buy version for 6 weeks on evaluation and no-one used it other than me !!!
as far as I know this is not possible. All links for "Free Trial / Demo" or similar will just trigger someone offering you a webinar.
I ' ve known that some countries, such as Italy, France and Spain, organize a free special event called "Welcome on BOARD" , a super fast training on BOARD (1/2 day) and, at the end of the training, only the attendees receive a BOARD free trial license for 30 days.
Hi Michele Patrini,
I have not heard about that, until now and I would assume some addtional effort on behalf of our Support guys generating the needed keys and providing support... Although it would be possible I'd expect additional workload for the Support which is why I think, this is not common at least in Germany.
Hi Helmut Heimann,
I agree with you about the major effort for consultants, but at the same time it's a good way to generate new leads and give the possibility to get in touch (concretely) with BOARD.

Agreed - definately a good way to get - and stay - in touch, I'd support that kind of Approach...
In Australia we offer a trial only when the opportunity is strongly qualified and is a compulsory step in the customer's buying process. Then it needs to happen in a thight controlled way linked with some training.
We always explain ourselves out of it describing the request as "giving the keys of the car to a driver learner that has just passed the theory exam and expect that he/she just drive on a busy freeway alone"
