4/4/5 reporting - Custom Time Entity set up

Hopefully there is someone in the community that has set up 4/4/5 reporting (rather than monthly) that can tell me if this worked for them. (I have a few open tickets with support on this DB which I'm not getting any replies to, so I'm not sure if it's a BOARD issue or it the DB has gone bad).
I need to change a client's reporting from monthly to 4/4/5wks from 1 July 2020. Some elements of the amendments are straight forward, some are proving not so.
One thing we are doing to allow daily and period based reporting is to create a new custom time entity called 'Period' (essentially Accounting Period), and roll days up into this. It is on a separate branch from Month as shown below
It looks like this in the winclient (10.6.3..)
and this in the web. Why day-month doesn't link in winclient I don't know.
I then related days in June 2020 to Period like below..
But when I display a DView by PERIOD and then drill to day it shows EVERY day...even though they are not related to that period.
(Why it's not decided to display as mm/dd/yyyy in the above is another of the BOARD mysteries!)
Has anyone set up 4/4/5 reporting, did you do it this way, and did you have this problem?
Cheers
Brendan

Hi @Brendan Broughton,
i have set up a custom time Entity "period" as you and i related days to the element "jun 2020" to test it. It works as mentioned, in a drill i get only the days i related to my period:
Version is 10.6.1.5 in Web. So there is no bug in BOARD. Maybe you have to check your relationships.

Thanks for confirmation @Dietmar Jeschkeit
Yeah I'd noticed the issue was actually a layout/screen issues, once there is a layout select on the dataview drill-down doesn't appear to work as expected. There was a select for FY on the DView (as there is a single day select on the screen), so when I drill on month it still gives days for the full FY as opposed to just the month I drilled on.
Seems a bit wrong to me so I'm now looking into that issue a further.

Hi @Brendan Broughton,
there is nothing wrong. Your drill layout also have the (internal) FY selection, that´s why you see all days. You have to change the layoutselection in the drill. Then it will work as expected.

Sorry, I didn't mention the other side of it, the removal of the layout select..as that's where the unexpected behaviour is. Try it at your end, because when i remove the layout select I don't get the days in the drilled month, instead it shows the day corresponding to the screen select NOT the drill down select.
see below, with layout select removed from drill-down layout.
Drill down on Apr 20, shows the day select on the screen, 30 June 20.
I'm trying to build it in different orders to see if there is one combination that gives what it should give. As it seems that the layout select overrides the drilldown select, and so far I haven't found a way to get the drilldown select back.
