PROFIT UND LOSS STATEMENT: SPECIAL STRUCTURE OF COLUMNS
Thomas Schendl
Customer
Hallo everybody!
I would like to create an P&L Statement with the following structure:
Column 1 to 6: Information to actual month
Column 7: row structure of the P&L Statement
Column 8 to 13: Information to the cumulated value
It should be also possible to expand or collapse the row structure.
An Example is shown at the attachment.
Does anybody know some advice?

Hello @Thomas Schendl,
it will take a little time, but it's (partly) achievable--have a look at this example that uses Board's built-in functionality to drill down to the underlying accounts that make up the group:
This was built on a smaller P&L structure meant for demo purposes but I think, you'll get the idea, even though there are no values for the previous year or plan, nor any additional calculation.
The cumulated view uses an additional cube where the rule defining the P&L is persisted (using a dataflow).
The next thing is that the entity "Account Group" (or in the drill-down the Account) were added as blocks to the DataView in order to get the desired "butterfly" view.
Expand and collapse will only be available if the entities in the rows are hierarchically connected and--this is the important thing--displayed. In this example the hierarchically related entities "Account Group" and "Account" are not displayed in the rows because the column width was set to "1"--also due to the butterfly view.
I hope this helps,
Helmut
