Hi Stefan, you should be able to simply go into the procedure, click Copy at the top, open the capsule you want to transfer it to (you need to open it within the same session, you can change environment but you need to stay within the same Board client session), create a new procedure with the same name and click Paste, that will paste all the steps from your source procedure, then just hit Save.

    Hi @Stefan Batalia,

I'm afraid, there is no possibility to achieve that. Sine a capsule procedure is linked to the capsule it was built in, you can only re-build it in any other capsule.
Yes, that's some work considering the possible size of such a procedure but, currently no other way.

    Kind Regards,
    Helmut

    Hi @Stefan Batalia,
you could save the procedure as a database procedure and then open the new capsule, point the database and save the procedure inside the new capsule taking it from the database.

Pay attention to the "client-side" action, like: open screen, extract screen, broadcasting and so on. They are related to the specific capsule.

    ciao,
    federico

    Hi Robert,

thank you for your feedback. We are using the web-based version 10.6.
in the procedure area i do not see the copy part.
is there a way to also make this work in the web-based version ?

    thanks !

Hi Cor, on the web it works slightly differently - rather than copying the whole procedure you'd need to copy each group separately. You can select individual lines via the tick-box on the left, or you can select an entire group in one go using the tick box to the left of the group heading, you can then copy these lines using the Copy option at the top, and you'll be able to paste them into a new procedure. You can create your new procedure in a separate browser tab so you can copy and paste between the two tabs quickly and easily, you just need to recreate any groups in the new procedure and then copy and paste in the lines for each group.

    Hi Ronald,

Thanks. I am able to go to the procedure and copy the steps, but do not understand how to paste the information in the new procedure, as there is no "paste" button visible.

    Probably missing something obvious..

Hi Cor, you need to Create Step and you'll then have the option to Paste rather than create a new step from scratch, it will paste however many steps you previously copied.

    Hi Robert,

    Thanks for your reply.

It is probably me, but if I select +STEP in a procedure, I see the following screen, which does not contain a PASTE possibility...

Hi Cor, that suggests it isn't seeing that you have anything copied, are the procedures in the same environment? If you copy the steps in one tab and then open the target procedure in another tab I believe that should still work fine, otherwise you can try doing it in the same tab - open the source procedure, copy the steps, then open the target procedure, create step and paste.
