16:9 in mask settings not actually 16:9

Has anyone else had issues trying to create a mask/screen using the 16:9 settings where it doesn't actually 'fill' a 16:9 screen?
I can set the mask to 16:9 and put a label taking up the full width/height on the screen available (in edit mode).. yet when you go to 'view' you end up with a big pile of white area on the right hand side. Both screens I've viewed it on are 16:( which suggests that the 16:9 setting for a screen in BOARD is not actually 16:9, OR (crazy as it may sound) it does not account for the header that BOARD puts at the top of the screen.
If you try to use the different 'fit to' options you then end up with scroll bars to areas of the page you don't want...which is just as undesirable. It seems the only way to get around this is with a custom screen size... but being that 16:9 is now pretty standard I'd like to think you don't need to customise something for a standard size.
Can someone confirm if they have the same issue, and can anyone at BOARD confirm if they're going to fix this?
Cheers
Brendan

Hi Brendan,
can confirm we have the same issue. believe this is also partially caused by the fact that the 16:9 ratio may be correct, but you need a portion of the screen to show the webbrowser info.
if you select to show the full page (so no webbrowser info) it is usually almost full screen coverage.
Kind regards.

Hi Cor...thanks for the confirmation.
I I hadn't thought of the browser bar when I posted this, but did afterwards, I was thinking perhaps it didn't allow for the BOARD bar.
When I did I considered full screen.. but it isn't really an option as most/all of the capsules we develop are designed to open several tabs, which can't be moved between easily in fullscreen.
I guess I'll just have to work out the most appropriate custom size and save that somewhere.
Cheers!

Good morning,
I faced the same issue and changed my mask to 1980x880. I believe the reason is that the interface of your web browser is not part of the board screen. This is why your board screen should be slightly smaller than 16:9.
As the size of your browser tabs, search bar and favourites may vary, the ideal format for you might be different than mine. And the one of your colleagues might be different than yours...
A solution could also be to go on full screen in your web browser. This way, I believe that you will benefit from the 16:9.
Maybe Board developers could find a way to insert a button that would let the user go full screen without having to go through it via the web browser (as it is not intuitive)?
