Dataflow using rule with datapicker issue

Hello, I am having an issue with a dataflow where I apply a rule to the source cube in order to populate some metrics. The rule uses data picker to populate data for the entity. After running the dataflow, the target cube is empty, however, the source cube displays the correct data when the rule is applied.
  • Source cube and target cubes have same dimensions.
    • I tried two scenarios: one where the sparsity/density is the same between cubes and second where the target cube is all dense per suggestions found in the community
  •  Applied following rule to source cube which uses data picker

  • Data is populated for source cube when rule is applied so data picker works, however, when I apply the rule to the source cube and create the following dataflow, data is not populated for the target cube.imageimage

I would appreciate any help, thank you.

    Hi Yvonne,
I am following the thread since I am facing the same issue, no result on target cube (Dense structure) after applying the rule with Data Picker syntax in the layout of the data flow.
    Thanks,
    Domenico

    Hi Domenico,

I opened a ticket with support and they said that data picker does not work with a dataflow. Here is their exact response. Hope that helps.

    Dear all,

We met an issue while trying to use a DataPicker [DP] in DataFlow [DF] (before we knew it was not working) to avoid duplicating Rules (some with DP, others without).

When a DataPicker is not correctly set in the Rule ("@" missing in our case), the DataFlow is -simply- not executed (data transfer from a cube to another).

Even if the DP is not interpreted/applied, it may cause an error while used in a DF.

Also, we noticed that using a lot of (~50) DP in several DataViews (in a "Tab" container) was really impacting the time opening performance.
Workaround: turning as much as possible the DP into dedicated DF to transfer Data from a cube another.
Impact of workaround: duplicate all DF for every target cubes where data of DP should be used...

    Hope this helps...
