  1. What is your idea?

I have come across a situation where the client wants to load an ASCII file but the data row doesn't start from Row 1. As these files contain Financials information, manual intervention is to be avoided.

This looks like an ask from a few customers and it would be great if a feature is included in Board as well. The board should provide developers with an option to chose the start of the row from where the data starts, assuming it never changes, we can always configure it to load data into Board without asking the Client to format it.

  1. What specific problem are you trying to find a solution to, or what new scenario would this idea respond to?

Data readers will be capable of reading data from any sort of file and as a product Board will be able to show it as a new feature available.

  1. What workaround have you found and used so far (if any)?

No workaround has been found yet to tackle this. We have asked client to provide us the data in Board acceptable format.

  1. What is your role in your organization?

Senior Consultant.
