Presentations are not working after Update to 12.5

Hi,

Does anybody has the same problem? Most of our Presentations are not working any more. There is no way to edit or show the data. Even the “sava to”-option is not working.

Some of the presentations are fine, but we do not know why..

  • Hi @Marco Oerder, I'm Ivano from 3rd Level Support.

    We have just recently seen a couple of similar cases and we're trying to find the root cause.

    In the meantime, I'd like to suggest you to open a ticket with all the details (On Prem or On Cloud and, in this case please add name of the instance etc…)

    We'll do our best to handle it ASAP.

  • Hello Marco,

    the issue is already known. Presentation, which were created in version 12.4 do not work anymore after update to version 12.5. Our lab is already working on a fix on it and it will hopefully be available in the next release.

    Thanks for the quick answers, unfortunately the result is anything but good.
    This is very annoying, especially since the problem already existed when updating from 10. to 12.
    If the problem is known, a note on the download page would be great. Then one can save the annoyance of the users. We have not tested every presentation, because some of them works. You have this apparently also not...

    We would like to upgrade to the new version but at the moment this is a showstopper.

    Hi Nicola,

    The fix for this problem is included in a patch (12.5.0.0.80037 and later).

    So the fix is included in 12.5.1. We do, however, suggest upgrading on your test environment first and testing there before moving production.

    The bug fix is also mentioned in the updated 12.5 release notes:
    "Presentations. A malfunction that caused Slides containing Data View Objects created in Board 2022 Summer release to become empty when opened in Board 2023 Spring release has been resolved."
