Board Connection Issue

I installed the Board 12 Office Add in and Board server. When I try to connect the board server in excel. I am getting the below error. Please help me out here. how to connect and start using the board? Also, Is it just add-in? How can i use the predictive analytics software/other board softwares?

Hi Sidh,

You might have the incorrect version of the Board Excel Add-in installed. You might want to uninstall and reinstall it (with admin privalages on your local machine).

The Excel Add-in version should match the version of Board you downloaded. Additionally, make sure you're using the correct version of the Excel Add-in for your machine. The "64-bit" version is for 64-bit versions of Office. The version that says just "Setup_Office" is for 32-bit Office installations.

Hi Sidh,

you might want to try "localhost" instead of "local engine" (same if you login into Board web if you have it locally installed). If you are referring to a different server, you should use of course the server's path :)

Hi Sidh,

Click on "Edit" in the Board add-in pop up and enter in the hostname of the Board instance you are trying to reach. As Bettina pointed out, use localhost if you trying to connect to your Board server installed on your local machine else specify the Board instance of the server you are trying to connect to.
