Extract/Import Trees Unsorted
Hello,
I'm sure any admin of BOARD has faced the issue needing to refresh Development Cubes/Entities with new info from Production. I'm sad to say that this process is FAR less straightforward than it would seem.
It is very frustrating to always have to follow the steps of :
A) Remove all sorting of entities (Production)
B) Extract all trees (Production)
C) Reinstate all sorting of entities (Production)
D) Remove all sorting of entities (Development)
E) Import all trees of entities (Development)
F) Reinstate all sorting of entities (Development)
Skipping these steps will inevitably end up with changing some elements names without realizing.
Would it be possible to add 2 new options into our Procedures in the "Extract" and/or "Database" section (I'd also say that these two sections have a LOT of overlap…)?
1) Extract All Trees Without Sorting (steps A-C above)
2) Import All Trees Without Sorting (steps D-F above)
This would make things much less painful for a routine maintenance task.
