Board Academy Level 200 training environment setup error

I am getting the following error when trying to setup the Board Training Environment for the Board Academy Level 200:

Selected user account does not exist in tenant 'BOARD' and cannot access the application '93cb9be1-06ac-46e9-8cb6-ef5235d40859' in that tenant. The account needs to be added as an external user in the tenant first. Please use a different account.

has anyone come across this error and found a solution?

Please use the username and password method instead of the Board Account.
