How to hide a button in a Capsule Home screen

Hi,

We have some buttons in the Home screen of a Capsule, that need only to be visible to few users.

For that we have created a cube, CLC_HLP_0284_User Visibility. Authorized Users show 1 in this cube.

This cube has the User dimension which is the user entity in the DataBase. The user of the platform (the logged user) is the Board User entity.

To configure the button we followed the same steps that the BOARD consultant, who trained us during the BOARD implementation, created in a similar case (which now is not working too):

In our opinion it is not working because when loading the home screen the selection of the BOARD User (the logged one) is not applied to the User entity, the one included in the Visibility Cube. So the button visibility based on user is not detected.

This could be solved by an Open Trigger procedure but this option is not available in the home screens.

Can you point out any error in what we are doing? or provide an alternative solution?

Thanks in advance

    Hello @Jordi Vilamajo,

make sure you defined the custom select script User = @User within the security profile assigned to your users.

  • Hi Leone,

It was missing. Once included it is working.

Thanks for pointing that so quickly.

  • Hi Leone,

We have another issue related to the same topic.

In this case we have a set of button that should be hidden and this is what a user, that should not see them, get:

The Select user=@user is added already ;)

So far, comparing to the situation we solved yesterday, we only see one difference in both cases:

This is the Button that is not working:

And this is the one that is working fine:

Is this making the difference? We did not fine where to change it.

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi Leone,

You can dismiss my last Comment. We have resolved it our selves. It was an error in a On Screen filter.

    Thanks anyway :)
