Module 211

Hi, On the functional test of the solution, the values need to be green. I have checked and re-checked everything associated, and I feel like this is an issue with the color alerts portion. Mine is not green, but the word says unlocked. AND if I change the sign for the third to be greater than or equal to 1, and made the second a different color, it works. Confirming that the cube is in fact zero.

What am I missing?

My Original:

Instructions:

If I change the sign, and make the middle purple like so:

It works: (confirming that the cube is not 1, and therefore zero.

However since the test says it must be zero, I want to verify my line of thinking.

    Hi @Jon Linaburg ,

depending on whether you've run the locking procedure you should be seeing something like this

The locking procedure will write a "1" to the lock cube when locking and clears the cube otherwise. So, a "1" means "locked". The alert displayed above is set up like this

  • Right, but since my status says "unlocked" that would insinuate that I did not have a 1 in my cube. Additionally if I set my color alert to the three colors like my example, it shows as the middle color. Which is not 0, but not 1.

    Hi @Jon Linaburg ,

the way you have set up the colour alert would result in green if the cubes' values are smaller than zero and purple if they are greater or equal than zero but smaller than 1—thus, a "0" would be in the second category, because it is greater/equal zero and less than 1.

Perhaps the instructions on this topic are a bit misleading.

  • Yes, I think they are because I set it up as they instructed, and it was not working correctly. No worries; I made it work to confirm.
