Data Flow calculation to total

Hi all,

when i have a Data Flow setup in the procedure it does the calculation for the entities but not on the Total Level. How can that be done calculated (not average) on the total line, too?

    I have the same issue when the I use an entity from the hierarchy tree it just sums the values of the lowest rather than giving me the calculation. I have setup the cubes with another version and aligned the cubes.

    But it doesn't give me a calculated version of the data flow but a sum which is wrong result.

    A data flow is calculated at the Leaf level and stored within the target cube. If you want something calculated at an upper level (consolidated level) or on the total row, you would need to apply a rule on the data block to calculate within the report during run time. An example would be Price. At a leaf level you could store price with a data flow by taking revenue/volume but Price makes no sense on a rollup/total row because it would sum up the leaf data of the calculated price. You could have a rule that is revenue/volume that would then calculate an average price at any level of the cube (but this is applied Run time on the data block within the view).

    Hopefully I understood what you were asking about. But if not, please clarify a bit more what you are trying to do.
