Color Alert on data view object with multiple entities by row.

I am attempting to apply a color alert to the data view below. While the color alert successfully highlights certain rows, it does not apply to rows that support drill-down functionality. Instead, the alert is only triggered at the second level, once the row is expanded. How can I ensure that the color alert is also applied at the rolled-up (top) level?

Hi @Jackson Kimbrell ,

not 100% sure of the structure of your entity and layout in dataview but I guess that you have a dataview with the option "Show groups as an unbalanced hierarchy" enabled.

If I'm right, I think you have the Down totals option unflagged in the by row options (I'm showing in 12.6, but for 14 is the same):

this is preventing the calculation of the values at total and sub-totals levels, so also alerts are not calculated. in order to see this, if you show the numbers in your table you will see that with down totals disabled, when you collapse a group you will see no data.

To achieve the same look and feel (so with no total rows), but with values when groups are collapsed you should enable the Down totals and flag the Hide total row in dataview options

The you can use also the option "View totals on expanded groups" under "Multiple entities By Row options" to see values and then alert on expanded groups.

But, unfortunately this will not fully solve your need, because the alert you are using is not working properly at group level, you will get something like:

Even if you set an alert Blocks only , at group level a number formatting alert is applied due to a known issue. I hope tis issue will be addressed in future releases.

Please let me know if I made wrong assumptions on how your dataview and layout is configured. And let me know i you need additional explanation or help.
