Data Reader Configuration From Local System

Hi Team,

I attempted to configure the data reader to load a CSV file from my local system. However when i specify the file path, no files appear to be available or recognized by the system.

Please advise if there are any prerequisite configuration or settings that needs to completed before this step?

Hi @Prasad ,

is the Board installation on the same local machine you are trying to retrieve the file from?

If you're working in a cloud environment, the Board engine can't access your local drive.

Yes i'm working on cloud environment. Is there any workaround or solution to upload the file from local drive?

Hi @Prasad ,

you need access to the Cloud Admin Portal and the Azure Storage Explorer connected to your Board Instance. This will allow for files to be uploaded to the cloud's "Z"-Drive.

To get that access, please contact your Board Cloud Support.

I have connected Azure storage explorer and Board instance using SAS link. I don't see any Z drive there.

Please help on this.

Hi Prasad, it's the Board server which has that drive mapped as Z:, so any files you upload into that file structure you can then access from a data reader in your Board instance using Z: and then the path you've saved the file under. Whichever of those bss shares is the Board one, you just need to drag and drop the file you want to load into a folder on there and you'll then be able to see it from your data reader in Board.
