Drill Through popup : How many rows it can safely handle ?

Hello,

Is-there any BOARD tech lead here ?

Our users are using the drill through feature towards an SQL server database to see invoice accounting lines on SQL DB.

However on some accounts, we have approx. 100 000 lines of invoices to display on the BOARD drill thorugh popup

Question :

Is the drill-through feature natively designed to handle this type of load, or am I putting BOARD’s stability at risk?

Note : On SQL server side, everything is fine, no perf issue, my question is more about the BOARD UX performance.

Hi @Julien CARDON,

As you know, there is a Drill Through cut-off limit of 10,000. Drill Through Cut Offs set to 10000 and can be increased if required. This limit was introduced to prevent the board Engine from crashing or hanging when an "too big" Drill through was executed.

From Board version 14.1, the RAM usage has been optimized when using a large query in a drill-through protocol. There are a lot of factors, such as RAM availability, peak traffic, and concurrent executions, that could determine the performance of a large drill through. You could try to increase this parameter, but also monitor the performance of the application to decide if you need to decrease the limit.
