Level 300, Module 304: Question 2. Does currency values needs to be converted to Group Currency?

How does the training screen for Q2 shows 2915 k if the sample data files has 22 K Euros for NL0001 and 1320 k Yens for JP0001.

The only data entry available at the time comes from the excel files, so this is all the data we have for LOC

Where did you get your 2519k? if Prior Year data is correct, are the excel sample files wrong? I did the values conversion to GBP currency and I did not get the 2519k either…

Hi Jesus,

I understand that you are encountering this error in the data view value while performing the functional test, where you need to enter the correct values in the answer box.

Regarding your question, you don't need to group currency values or convert them. As explained in the 304 module, you are instructed to upload "JP0001 FCST 3+9 - Sales.xlsx" and copy "NL0001 FCST 3+9 - Sales.xlsx."

I suggest that instead of copying one file and uploading the other, you should upload both files directly. This approach worked for us and may work for you as well.

Hi Anthony, thanks for your help! That was fast. However, it did not work. I mean, either copy/pasting or uploading, the values in the excel files are the ones having the problem, if we are not converting currencies, both files LOC entries are adding up 1,343 K, there is no other data to be added up to get to 2,519k (from the question screen reference to match to). Can you show me if you have data in the actual months? or how much do you have by store please?

I added this screen to the model to test the uploading smart thing was working, and it does.

Hey, just to close this topic. I restore my working environment and did the complete course again and found it that I missed some important steps, so after paying more attention I was able to get the correct results with no further problem.
