Is it possible to have no totals for certain algorithm blocks in the total line of a dataview.

I have a dataview with total lines but besides "normal" data I have a column with a algorithm block showing percentage values in a tooltip (as information for the user, so that he know which maximum percantage value is allowed to be entered) - for this percentage values in the tooltip I dont want to see summed up totals, as it makes no sense having totals of percentage values and is misleading.

Unfortunately I dont see any possibility to configure, that for this algorithm block should be no total in the summary.

Is there any way to avoid this?

Thanks for your question.

The reason your column’s tooltip percentages sum up is because the underlying block (which you're probably using to calculate your percentages) has totals enabled. If you select "Total" as the Summary option for your calculated algorithm block, it sums the percentages, which you don't want. Alternatively, setting that block Summary to "Calculated" will calculate the total value based on the algorithm logic, which also doesn't sound like it fits your use case.

A simple workaround I can think of:

1) Add another block to your layout containing the cube(s) used for your percentage calculation

2) Set this new block(s) to hidden.

3) For this block(s), set the Summary option to "No Total."

4) Ensure your percentage calculation algorithm block has the Summary set to "Calculated" instead of "Total."

5) Create your tooltip algorithm as a text algorithm referencing your calculated percentage.
