Level 300 Part 2 - 308 Functional Test

Hello Team,

Im facing issue in completing Functional test - Ques 9, change the User to EMEA Approver role. Navigate to Sales planning adjustment screen and select the countries.

After changing role it does not allow me to go to screen and gives the error message as "Access denied. you are not allowed to access this database"

I have checked the Folder Security, Roles and everything looks correct. Can someone please help me. Below is the screenshot of error message and EMEA security

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

It seems there's a permission issue preventing the EMEA Approver from accessing the sales planning screen. The error message "Access Denied. You are not authorized to access this database" points to a security configuration problem.

Based on the screenshots, the likely cause is that the approver_EMEA role is not associated with the correct Folder Profile. The Approver Folder Profile grants access only to the Planning Approval and Reporting capsule, but the user is attempting to open a screen in the Planning & Reporting capsule.

To resolve this, you need to update the approver_EMEA role to include access to both capsules.

Resolution Steps

1. Navigate to System Administration > Roles.
2. Select the approver_EMEA role from the list.
3. In the FOLDER PROFILE section, check the box for the Planner folder. This will grant the role access to the Planning & Reporting capsule.
4. Confirm that the Approver folder profile is also checked, which provides access to the Planning Approval and Reporting capsule.
5. Save the changes.

After completing these steps, the approver_EMEA user should be able to access the "Sales Planning Adjustment" screen without any issues.
