On some screens, when I right click on my data view ,I see option freeze pane, but this option is not seen on all dat views. Why?
Hi @Kajal, As far as I know, the freeze pane option should be available in Play mode for any Dataview where the object toolbar is enabled (as shown below).
It’s possible that your application administrator has intentionally disabled the object toolbar for those dataviews, which is sometimes done for security or design reasons. Could you please check whether, in the example where you don’t see the Freeze Pane option, the object toolbar (the gray popup with Dataview options) is visible at all? If not, it would indicate the object toolbar was disabled for that dataview. Kind regards, Hamza
Hello @Hamza Mesbahi ,
Thanks for the reply.
I have checked and on all dataviews, the Object Toolbar settings is Enabled however on some dataviews, the freeze panes is not available.
I have put some screenshots below for reference. can you please help?
Thanks,
Kajal
Hi @Kajal ,
Thanks for sharing those screenshots. I can now see what’s happening.
It looks like, in the dataview where the Freeze Pane option isn’t appearing, none of the options below Search are visible. Those options (Freeze Pane, Data, Rows & Columns) belong to the Quick Layout toolbar options.
The Quick Layout can be toggled on or off from the Dataview layout editor in Design mode, under the Object Settings tab. Look for the Quick Layout option there and toggle it on (see the screenshots below for reference).
Once you enabled it and save your changes, reopen the dataview in play mode and you should see the Freeze Pane and other Quick Layout options appear as expected.
Hope that helps! Kind regards, Hamza
