I have a question regarding a task I've been assigned related to user visibility.
Specifically, we've configured the security settings so that users only have visibility according to the business unit (BU) they belong to and the role assigned to them. However, users can also have platform roles that define whether they can manage certain tasks or not.
The issue we're trying to address concerns the scenario in which a user may have multiple roles across multiple business units. For example, I might be the Director of Business Unit X but also the Manager of Business Unit Z.
How should we handle the different visibility scopes in this case?
We’ve considered building a matrix that includes the dimensions: user (i.e. the license), business unit, and role. However, we don’t currently have a matrix that maps each user to their roles. The only place we can find this link is in Security > Roles.
Does anyone have experience dealing with this kind of situation or ideas on how to automate this process?
