remove layout selection

Hello,

I have a hardcoded selection on a screen from which I launch a db procedure incapsulated in a capsule procedure. I need to remove the initial selection in the db procedure with a remove selection on tree but it's not working. Is ther another away to remove the layout selection ?

Hi Catalina, depending on whether you need to clear your whole selection or just limit it to that tree your options are either Remove All Selections, Remove Selection on Tree or Remove Selection on Entity. When you say it isn't working, what are you seeing happen exactly - if you trace the procedure can you see the selection not disappearing from the Current Selection when you pass that point?

I used Remove Selection and Remove tree and when I query a table in which I know I have several members of the filtered entity I only see values for the filtered member.

I launch the same procedure from a different capsule based on the same db and I don't have this problem. In this second screen I don't have the hardcoded selection, the concerned entity is filtered with a dynamic selectio when opening the screen.

Okay, it's hard to say what the cause might be, all I can suggest is putting a break point on the step where you clear the selection and having a look at what happens when it executes the step, could there be a second, related selection which also needs clearing that's limiting the data it retrieves?

Hi @Catalina,

If I understood your issue correctly, I’d also suggest trying the following:
Remove or reset the Entity Selection (Remove Selection/Remove Tree selection) within the capsule procedure, and then use the Copy Select option to apply the same selection in the DB procedure.
