Board 14: selector issue

Hello,

Following the upgrade to v14 I have the following issue:

I have a selector based on CFI-valeur unbalanced hiearchy which is in relationthip with Etablissement [Enrichi] , as below:

My selector is setup like this:

With an admin role I see the selection as I expect (though I don't understand why it displays one parent - to check further) but an user who has securities on Etablishement=102 doesn't have anything displayed by the selector

Hi @CatalinaCatalina,

Just to clarify, “Leaves” is not equivalent to “Descendants”.
Using Leaves will remove all intermediate nodes, except the one from the included selected member.

From your description, I also understand that your entity structure is unbalanced above a leaf entity. In that context, could you please confirm whether you mapped a 1-to-1 relationship between all members of both entities?
For reference: Etablissement [Enrichi] = 102.

Additionally, could you share the custom security script? I believe there is one defined in the Database Security Profile used by the user, and it may directly impact the behavior you are observing.

Please note that the Unbalanced Selection Mode has been available since version 14.1.

If you need a deeper investigation, don’t hesitate to involve your Customer Success Manager, who can coordinate further analysis if required.

Hello Kevin,

We don't have any custom security scripts, the securties are managed only through selections on members. Yes, we have relationships defined between CFI - Valeur and Etablissement [Enrichi]. We are under 14.5.

All our CFI-Valeurs members start with 0, if I type 0 in the selection bar, all CFI - Valeurs attached to 102, leaf members, are displayed, so it seems to be more of a display problem.

Hi Catalina, you mention that the selection is on 102, which looking at your codes I'm guessing is a non-leaf node? As Kevin mentioned having an unbalanced hierarchy as a parent of another entity can be problematic unless all nodes of the unbalanced hierarchy (including non-leaf nodes) are mapped to the entity below, the reason for this is that Board makes selections by propagating the selection down the tree to the base and back up again, meaning that selecting a non-leaf node won't work properly if it isn't mapped to a child, the selection would need to be on the leaf nodes (assuming they all have mapped children).

102 is a non-leaf code and the the entity (Etablissement [Enrichi]) in which is included is not an unbalanced hierarchy.

CFI - Valeur is an unbalanded hiearchy and all its nodes are linked to 102 code.

Anyway, since the user can type the first 3 chars and everything is displayed, it is not a big problem at the end, is just that the system acts strangely for me.

Also the display is different between admin which sees only the leaves and a standar user which sees everything:
