Summary parameter "Last" doesnt reflect at higher levels

Question

Hello All,

We have data at Weeks which will roll up to Months and further to Quarter, Half Year and Full Year.

We have a requirement to show the "Closing Stock" as the Last value. The Data view has all the periods in Row Axis (Not Flattened). We have tagged the Closing Stock block's Summary as Last.

The data shows up perfectly at Month level which fetches the data from last week of the month. However, the data at Quarter, HY and FY shows as blank. We have raised a support ticket to understand if it is a bug.

Meanwhile, Can you please let me know if there is any way to achieve this till we hear back from support team?

My guess would be that it's the expected behaviour but I haven't found any documented confirmation either way so far. Maybe you can report back here what Support say when they come back to you?

Thanks Rob. I think we are talking same point. But any idea if this behaviour is as expected? Also by any chance if we identified this as a problem and looking for a fix in subsequent releases?

Hi Pramodkumar, I'm not sure what you mean, Last and Last Value serve completely different purposes - last value means the last non-zero value will propagate forward at cell level, Last as  summary type means the total line of a group will be displayed as the last cell value of that group as opposed to the total of the component cells. The Last summary type rolls up to the group level, it doesn't propagate to subsequent group levels though, as you can see below mine shows the last value at Quarter level but not Year level.
