How can I download multiple zip files in one go?

Question

We have a screen where the user can upload many zip files. They are stored in Board. We want to build a report where all or a selection of zip files can be easily downloaded in one go.

Any ideas on how to do this?

Is it possible to use FlexGrid to provide access to these uploaded zip files? Is there any way to provide the user with a way to perform a mass download of those zip files from FlexGrid?

We are using Board 14.5.

Hi Michael, when you say the zip files are being stored in Board I assume you're referring to a Blob cube holding them are you? If so you should be able to include that cube in any data view, Blob cubes are supported in Flex Grid from 14.3 onwards, the user will then be able to download the attachments individually by clicking on the relevant cell and using the download arrow.

As for bulk downloading them, you can extract a Blob cube to a folder and any attached files will be exported to that folder (respecting the current selection of course), however you'd only be able to extract to a locally mapped drive like the Z: drive, so possibly not idea for an average end user who'd be unlikely to have access.
