Do datapickers work with fiscal offsets?

I have a datapicker that references a cube that stores diluted shares by fiscal Year. When I try to do a trended P&L, where I duplicate the P&L cube and apply time functions for previous years, everything works except for the datapicker row, even though the cube it's pulling from is dimensioned by the appropriate fiscal period. For the historical years, the datapicker row still references the current fiscal year.

Is this a known limitation? or do i need to apply something else to my datapicker syntax?

Hi Emil, from what I can see Datapicker isn't going to work with calendar functions like prior period, no, it works purely from the screen select.

If I use the calendar function Previous Period Value in my example like you I get this, with the Datapicker picking up the current year figure:

Even using a Refer To on the block seems to be ignored in favour of the screen select:

To achieve what you want to achieve I think you'd either need to populate a cube with the prior year diluted share values so that you can reference that instead with the Datapicker, or possibly you might be able to do something with an offset rule so that you can have the values to pick up in the previous block with the calendar function applied and the rule on your main block using an offset to reference it - the limitation with that is that the prior year cube would need to be dimensioned by the entity your rule is over, so you'd lose the benefit of the Datapicker just grabbing data from the source cube without needing to transform it in any way.
