Six months after launching the new Board Idea Exchange, the Community continues to actively share ideas, vote, and engage in discussions. With more than 100 new ideas submitted, growing collaboration through comments, and ideas progressing through every stage of the review process, we're receiving stronger signals about the challenges and opportunities that matter most to you! This update focuses on the trends we're seeing, and how community participation continues to inform product discussions.
When we introduced the new Board Idea Exchange earlier this year, our goal was to create a more transparent and collaborative place for customers, partners, and employees to share feedback, discover similar ideas, and better understand how ideas move through the review process.
Now, six months later, we'd like to share how things are progressing.
While the numbers tell part of the story, what stands out most is the continued engagement from the community. Ideas are being submitted, conversations are growing, and we're seeing clearer patterns emerge that help our product teams better understand where customers are looking for improvements.
A Growing Community of Contributors
Over the first half of the year, 57 community members contributed 106 new ideas to the Idea Exchange.
Just as importantly, those ideas sparked discussion. Community members published 105 comments, sharing additional use cases, examples, and perspectives that help provide valuable context beyond a simple vote count.
One of the most encouraging trends has been the increase in conversations during the second quarter. As more members contribute comments alongside votes, ideas become richer sources of feedback, helping us better understand not only what customers are requesting, but why those improvements matter.
Every vote and comment helps build a more complete picture of customer needs.
Ideas Continue to Move Through the Review Process
One of our primary goals for the new Idea Exchange was to make the idea review process more transparent.
During the first six months, we continued to see ideas progress through each stage of that process:
- 41 ideas reached the Community voting threshold and entered Under Review
- 54 ideas moved to Accepted for Evaluation
- 29 ideas progressed to Planned
- 28 ideas were updated to Shipped
Every idea follows its own path. Some move quickly, while others require additional research, customer validation, or may ultimately be addressed as part of a broader initiative.
These status updates aren't simply milestones—they're part of our ongoing commitment to providing better visibility into how ideas are reviewed and how community feedback contributes to product discussions.
Common Themes are Becoming Clearer
As participation has grown, we're beginning to see stronger patterns emerge across the ideas being submitted.
The most active categories during the first half of the year were:
- Data Model
- Platform & APIs
- Capsules & Reporting
- Screen Design
- Developer Experience
Rather than representing isolated requests, these categories highlight areas where multiple customers are raising similar challenges from different perspectives.
By grouping related ideas and reviewing them together, our product teams gain a better understanding of broader customer needs instead of evaluating each request in isolation. This helps create stronger signals while preserving the unique feedback and use cases shared by the community.
Looking Ahead
As we move into the second half of the year, we'll continue reviewing ideas regularly, updating statuses as they progress, and sharing what we're learning along the way.
The Board Idea Exchange works best when the community participates. Whether you're submitting a new idea, voting for an existing one, or adding comments that provide additional context, every contribution helps improve the quality of feedback available to our product teams.
Thank you to everyone who has participated during these first six months. Your ideas and conversations continue to help us better understand customer priorities, identify emerging trends, and improve both the Board platform and the Idea Exchange itself.
We look forward to sharing another update later this year.
