How to display calculated TOTAL row value in a Label

Hello,

when I copy the following data view into a label, the label shows -100 instead of the aggregated TOTAL result (-13.64%).

Current Month and Previous Month values are generated using month selection flags, so I need the aggregation on month level.

How can I display the TOTAL value (-13.64%) inside a label?

Hi Gero, the issue there is that your label layout is returning multiple rows and Board will output the sum of the block you've selected for output, it's not the same as a dataview and it simply won't calculate the algorithm total in the way your layout is when creating the output, it will simply total the block you've selected.

I think you'd need a fundamentally different approach for that to work, essentially you're comparing the current month to the prior month, in which case you should be able to achieve this using screen select on the current month and having the prior month block use the Previous Period Value time function.

If you need the screen select to be something else then you have a couple of other options:

1. you could have a custom date entity marking the current month as a parent of Month, which you could then use as a Layout Select in the label
2. The other option is use a screen trigger with Apply Selection to Block to stick Refer To selections on the two blocks to point them at the current and prior months and do it that way.
