The steps written on the page do not match the screenshots. This is one of many that I have caught between B300 Part 1 and 2:

what is written is only to configure Step @2: Deny Cells editing where. However. Why do I see GRANT CELLS are enabled and two more cubes under DENY CELL.
It is very confusing and hard to follow.

Clarification Regarding Cube Visibility

Regarding your question/doubt about Cube Visibility, please note the following:

1. Cube visibility configuration
   Cube visibility can be configured to either:
   • Grant edit access based on a specific condition;
   • Deny edit access based on a specific condition; or
   • Apply both Grant Edit Access and Deny Edit Access to the same cube, provided that different conditions are defined for each.
2. Therefore, although the same cube appears under both visibility configurations, the conditions determine when edit access is granted or denied.
   • Grant Access to Edit: The condition is that the cube value must be = 0.
   • Deny Cell Access to Edit: The condition is that the cube value must be <> 0.
3. This is also indicated in Step 2, where the instruction states:
   “Set the third cube to ‘UTIL- DE - Indirect Cost Accounts’.”The reference to the “third cube” implies that two cubes should already be present under DENY CELL as part of the existing configuration.

I hope this clarifies the cube visibility configuration and the reason for the existing cubes under DENY CELL.
