Process time to get to Analysis

Question

Hi,

Currently in all of our instances, it often takes more than 5 mins just to to go Analysis part when we wants to review a cube/entity to improve the performance.

Any of you can help providing information regarding which factors decide the Analysis Process time so we can try troubleshooting the root causes?

I believe so yes, in my experience the more content the more there is for it to index, reducing clutter has certainly helped in the past with other customers.

I'm referring to the Analysis tab on individual cube or entity.

We do have quite a few backup capsules and lots of screens, cubes, entities and procedures etc.

So, if we download the backup folders/capsules; clear the unused screens; and save/archive it to the computer and clear it from the cloud, would it help make the process run faster a bit?

Hi Phuong, are you referring to the Impact Analysis area or the Analysis tab on an individual cube or entity? The Impact Analysis will re-scan your whole model each time you go into it to get the up to date information, the analysis tab on an individual cube or entity will scan for all references to that object. Either way the biggest factor in how long it takes is the size of your solution - how many cubes, entities, procedures, etc., and also how many capsules and screens. If yours is taking a long time do you happen to have a large number of capsules and screens in your solution?
