Important notification from Board
Board is deprecating the en-150 (English - Europe) locale in the Subscription Hub.
As a result, customers using en-150 may see different thousand and decimal separators in some environments.
What has changed?
The number format associated with en-150 has changed in newer CLDR definitions.
Previously, en-150 used the following number format:
- Thousand separator: .
- Decimal separator: ,
- Example: 1.234,56
In newer CLDR definitions, en-150 uses the following number format:
- Thousand separator: ,
- Decimal separator: .
- Example: 1,234.56
This change comes from the external CLDR standard and is not caused by a change in the Board version.
Who may be affected?
You may be affected if your users have en-150 (English - Europe) selected as their locale in the Subscription Hub.
The change may become visible when your Board environment is moved to updated infrastructure, or when a new Platform or sandbox is created.
In these cases, numbers may appear with different thousand and decimal separators than expected. For example, a number that previously appeared as 1.234,56 may appear as 1,234.56.
This can happen even if your Board version and user locale settings have not changed.
What action should I take?
Board recommends changing affected users from en-150 (English - Europe) to another available locale that matches the number format they expect.
In the Subscription Hub, this setting is available in the user account details under Culture. The selected culture controls regional formats for the user, including number formatting.
If multiple users are affected, you can update their culture in bulk from the Users page in the Subscription Hub. Follow these steps:
- Select the users you want to update.
- The Account details page opens and shows the selected users in the Email section. In the Culture field next to the email list, select the culture that matches the expected number format. The selected culture is applied to all users listed in the Email section.
