Level 300 Exercise – Incorrect values for Indirect Costs after allocation

Hi everyone,

I’m stuck on a Level 300 planning exercise because the final output does not match the expected result.

Almost every value in my Annual Expense Planning table is correct. The issue only affects these four accounts:

* 8920 Office Technology: Software
* 8930 Office Technology: Hardware
* 8030 Global Marketing Campaigns
* 6650 Officer Salaries

My CY Total is 992,655, while the expected result is 1,124,393.

I have attached my result and the expected output. Although the four expected values are hidden by the orange area in the exercise screenshot, the difference is visible from the final total.

I have already entered the required Apr.23 values in Indirect Global Expense Planning, but the resulting values for these four accounts in Expense Planning are still incorrect.

Has anyone encountered this issue or knows which configuration/dataflow I should check?

Unfortunately, I cannot proceed with the course until I obtain the expected result.

Thank you for sharing the details of the issue. Based on the discrepancy you reported, could you please double-check that you completed the configuration steps in lesson 305 – Planning Expansion: New Product Planning Based on Drivers?

In particular, please verify the following:

* The Driver and Source Mapping screen has been created.
* The Product and Driver Mapping Data View object has been created.
* The Source and Version Mapping has been populated as described in the lesson.
* The PLN – New Product Planning Capsule procedure is configured as instructed.
* The PLN – Initialize Planning Data Model procedure is configured and has been run as instructed.

If these steps are complete, please send us screenshots of the configuration of procedures so we can review them and help identify where the results may be diverging from the expected values.
