Colors in relationships
Hello,
How to interpret colours in Relationships tab?
In addition to the image attached, sometimes font goes red (which means orphans I suppose).
Are there any other highlights would be good to know of?
Thanks

Hi,
In Relationships tab, the background color becomes yellow when an entity exceeds the entity cut-off. This is only a warning.
The Entity cut-off is a threshold that allows to regulate the performance of opening a database in particular when accessing through low bandwith connection.
Entities that exceed the cut-off threshold are not cached on the client's PC thus reducing the data transfer volume and in practical terms this results in a faster opening of a Capsule screen.Entities that exceed the cut-off value can be used without limitations in the navigation (in reports rows, columns or in drilling-down), they are however subject to some restrictions in the Select function and the Pager objects, only the first 300 items are listed and the No All option of the Pager cannot be enabled.
In Relationships tab, Entities that are highlighted in red contain missing bottom-up relationships (orphans)
Generally in BOARD it is a best practice to always AVOID orphan elements in your hierarchies. Please have a look at the following articles

Hope this helped,

Thanks Michele Roscelli
These articles are quite exaustive!
I guess the grey background means the entity is empty? There is no element in it?
Cheers,

Yes, correct - if there are no elements in the entity, then the background is grey and you cannot click on it to define relationships.
