Not able to save or create procedures

Hi

I am creating procedures and was renaming a few.  Then I was suddenly not able to save the one I was working on: "The server is not responding or does not trust your user´s domain.  Please check your connection settings"

I can not create a new one and I can not delete one either but I can run the procedures and the screens are working.

I restarted the server but that did not help.

I noticed that one of the procedures appears twice in the procedures list.  Something must have gone wrong when I was renaming it and maybe that is the reason for this.  Does anyone have advice of how to solve this?

Best Regards,

Thora

    The solution was:

    1. copied all my procedures from database to capsule in the client.

    2. stopped the Board server.

    3. made a copy of the database for backup.

    4. deleted the file  C:\Board /Database/xxx.hbmp/bm1Procedures.dat

    5. started the server.

    6. copied all the procedures from capsule to database.

    7. went over all usage of procedures since I had to reinstall some of then in settings etc.

    Hi,

it seems that the Procedures are corrupted. Do you have an older backup which you can use? In this case it's migh be sufficient to replace only the Procedure-File (bm1Procedures.dat) within your Database folder. But keep in mind, that all changes to procedures are deleted.

  • Hi Björn

I had taken a backup earlier in the day but when I restored it nothing changed.  When I took a look at the backup it was brand new so it looked like the system had made a new backup. Is that possible? The procedure problem is therefore in the backup as well.  An older backup that I have is too old to use.

So I might be facing the fact that I need to remake all the procedures?

    Hi,

maybe your local board support team can  help you on this. Creating all procedures from the scratch would also a possibilty, but I dont know how many procedures you have and how complex they were.

    hi Thora Hirst,

Do Board return the message "The server is not responding or does not trust your user´s domain.  Please check your connection settings" again ?

Because if board do it, I don't think you have a problem with procedure.

  • Hi Andrea

Yes this message appear if I try to create, rename, delete, save a procedure.

But I can run a procedure, I can create a screen with charts and data views and until now the only thing I can not do is to work with process modelling.

Have you any idea what is causing this?

    Best Regards,

    Thora

    hi Thora Hirst

i think you can have a problem with the Server configuration or with your Board Client Version, mybe you could reinstall the Client version.

    Hi all,

Can you please tell me the steps you took to copy the procedures from database to capsule in the client.

    Thank you.

    Regards,

    Aamir.

  • Hi Aamir

You find the procedure that you need to copy on database level.  Click button "Copy.

Then you go to capsule level and click "New procedure".  Name the procedure and then click "Paste".
