Server Configuration Application Error

Hi all,

 

I'm doing a clean install of Board. I've completed the installation process, but when I try and open the server configuration tool I get the error below. 

 

I've tried running as administrator and as a user but with no luck.

 

Any ideas?

Hi Neil Chapman,

 

This seems to be an issue regarding the User Account Control managed in your server environment. 

 

You can try to see if the following helps: 

• Open the Local Security Policy by typing secpol.msc in the start menu and press ENTER
• Click on "Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options"
• Set the policy "User Account Control: Only elevate executables that are signed and validated" to "Disabled"
• Restart the server and try to run the BOARD Server Configuration again.

Hello Neil Chapman,

in addition to what Andries de Vries said, remember that our suggestion is always to:

• copy the installation files on the machine (no installation from net-drive)
• extract all the files from the original .zip folder and launch the "setup.exe"

 

If necessary, try also to disable your anti-virus during the installation process.
