Board Server won't start

Hi,

I'm doing a clean install of Board 10.5.1 on a new machine running Windows 10 Pro x64.

Install seemed to go OK, but when I try to start the service, nothing happens. No errors pop up, nothing. The service just doesn't start.

I've attached a screenshot.

Anyone got any ideas I can try?

I've just noticed in the event view, I have the 'Engine won't start in 64 bit mode' error. Any idea?

for me it sounds like 2 possible problems.

1. Do you use Virtual Machine? For that case you need at least 2 CPUs for this to get the BOARD Engine work

2. You are using the full key send from our license server? What is the file size of the key file? Is it 1,56KB?

We managed the issue through the Board Support Portal and we solved it.

The issue was related to the license: it was not created on the server where Neil Chapman was trying to use it (different serial number).
