  • Dear Aurore Lb,

    thanks for your request.

Which issue you are facing in Detail?

Did you consider the changes for IIS named in the release notes?

    http://help.board.com/Board_10.3.htm

Does the self hosted engine (BOARD WebAPI Engine) work, when you use another port than 80 (e.g. 81)?

Thanks for a short Reply with some more Details.

    regards

    Hi Alexander Kappes,

    Thanks for answering.

When I enter a user credentials and try to login into Board through the web, I got a blank page with an error :

    image

I did follow the instructions of the release notes :

    - I cut and paste the snapshotter and app_data folders from Bin to IIS Board website root.

    - I set Load User Profile to true.

I tried to use the self hosted engine on the 8080 port and it works fine.

Can it be a problem with the snapshotter config ?

    Best Regards,

    Aurore

  • Dear Aurore Lb,

can you please check the HTML5 error Log for the error?

You will find: drive:\inetpub\wwwroot\Name o fBOARD Application in IIS\App_Data\log\BoardWeb-yyyymmdd.log

In this file you can directly search for the cod_ref number.

It can be also due to permissions for the Folder in IIS I think.

    regards

  • Dear Alexander Kappes,

No log file has been created for today in IIS App_Data whereas the log config is properly set.

Can it be linked to the permissions on the folder ?

    Thx,

    Aurore

  • Hi Aurore,

yes it can.To be honest I think this is your only fault at the Moment.

You can just raise the rights for the Folder according to other Windows Privilegies.

Additional when IIS is used for the first time on the machine it can make sense restarting the operating System.

    regards

    Alex

  • What I don't understand is that it was working fine before updating to 10.3, and I didn't change anything except the elements mentioned in the release notes.

  • you are right, that sounds really strange.

did you restart the IIS Service / Website after you upgraded the files in the IIS Folder?

Did you try to restart the operating System?

    regards

    Alex

  • I restarted the entire server and it works fine now.

    Thx for the help.

    Aurore

    Dear Fethi Zerara,

did you perform all steps from the upgrade instructions of the attached link? Board 10.3

Did you also upgrade the snapshotter.config file?

    image

The 8011 Port is the default one for the snapshotter service itself, it must be opened in your firewall.

The Application URL must be the one you use for opening the HTML5 itself, in my case the HTMl5 is working on port 81 instead the "standard port" 80.

The file is placed in your IIS Sub Folder ...\ App_Data\config

    hope it helps

    regards
