Nexel Crossview seems to be forgetting reference values
Hello All,
Since i was using nexel cross-view for creating summarized view of different layouts into one report i observed that reference cell values all disappears when i login to Board again after few hours,
when i again go to formulas hit enter it works, sometime i have change reference and then type the previous reference values again to view values again,
for example =[#XYZ;abc;a;*] to =[#XYZ;abc;b;*] and then again back to =[#XYZ;abc;a;*], and values starts appearing.
Since i have read how Cross-View works i have made sure the values in reference tables have not changed their position, neither Rows nor columns. Moreover as i said earlier sometimes i hit enter it work (but sometimes).
Does any one else face this issue, is there a workflow issue from my end , is there a bug , do i have fix something on my end ?!
P.s I have one Cross-view and 4-5 layout from where the values are being referred in Cross-view.
Help me know more regarding this , let me know your suggestions and solutions.
Thank you!
Regards,
Malav

Hi Malav,
Thanks to your post, I've just discovered CROSSVIEW. I've now played with it a bit. Are you only testing your issue on CLIENT or does your problem also occur on WEB? The reason I say this is that you should also carry out a screen refresh after escaping from the NEXEL config screen and on every figure change but only on the CLIENT as WEB is automatic (especially if you take off the Screen save/undo setting.
Attached is a test model in which I can illustrate the problem and solution on a CLIENT. If this is not the issue, please post back with any info or images and I will help you resolve the problem.
Steps to carry out Crossview calculation on entering new values in CLIENT
Step 1 - Open the model in CLIENT and select NEXEL - Crossview.
Step 2 - Change any value in the first dataview UTV Column and select enter to commit the value.
Step 3 - The second dataview values appear to make no sense.
Step 4 - Select [F5] to refresh screen.
Step 5 - The figures should now make sense

Hello Paul Wyatt - Avison Young UK,
Firstly thank you very much for your effort to go through the issue , the issue was still on since weeks and finally i figure out that this is a Bug in Board. which is still not resolved in new versions rolled out.
I have already been through what you have explained multiple times from different workarounds and finally i found that adding just a Blank column beside your target values can help Board to identify Cell and Column from where it has to pick values.
This issue generally happens when you are trying to use Cross view with multiple layouts. Lets hope that a new updated might have fix for this issue.
Much Thanks and regards,
