Has anybody faced this issue/Bug in version 10.6 ?
Hello All,
After our recent upgrade to 10.6 we are facing tremendous trouble with reports which were developed in version 10.3.
Now the recent problem is with crossview , when use special characters like "/", "&" etc in layout title , Board Crashes and goes into faulted state.
This was working very fine in previous version 10.3.
No such notes have been mentioned in the release notes of 10.6 as well.
How can Board team help with this now, we have hours of development put in to create complex reports using standard features and than after upgrade everything suddenly stops working.
Can Board guide how do deal with such scenarios. Its being very frequent now and very frustrating too.

Thanks and regards,

Hi Malav,
We have done some upgrades to 10.6 for various customers as well but didn't came across any odd behaviour upon migrating.
Which other issues were you referring to when you mentioned "tremendous trouble with reports which were developed in version 10.3."
We are not using the crossview in any of our layouts for our customers. In those cases, we rather prefer to create a cube which would be a much more dynamic object to be used. So I can't help you with the issue you reported, unfortunately.
Cheers,

Hi Jonathan ,
We use crossview in our financial reports where we just to need to get some particular value from a cell and reflect it to another cube to perform some calculations using nexel.
I am not sure if you are using crossview/nexel feature in your reports and came across this issue. We generally don't create a new cube for such requirement because crossview is specially designed for it and to reduce the cluster of cubes in database and improve manageability.
However what is more concerning is the reports which worked compeltely fine in version 10.3 should work absolutely fine with new upgrades too but it's not.
The above mentioned problem is actually a bug in board so I think only board software developers can fix it with their backend developent.
Apart from this the cluster graph are broken on webversion but works fine in desktop version.
I have mentioned this issues in my other posts.
Thank for reaching out !
Warm regards,Malav

Hi Malav,
Sure when working with fixed Financial reports, I understand that purpose. The applications we built are mostly focused on Supply Chain, so that use case is rarely present.
I would advise you to open a ticket in the support portal, because as you say it's most likely a software bug that shall be fixed in upcoming versions.Cheers,
