Unable to use Board web Service after migrating to 10.3.0.51..

Hello All,

We migrated to Board 10.3.0.51220, initially the web services were working and we were able top open Board just by typing "localhost" in Chrome browser and it would open Board Login page.

However this all has suddenly stopped, can any one help on how to fix this up ?

thanks for your request.

Do you run the self hosted Engine or IIS for BOARD Web?

For the case you are using the Self Hosted Engine, did you checked if "Board WebAPI Engine" is up and running?

If not, try to start manually and check what is the reason in the event viewer of Winows.

Sorry for much requesting but with the information you gave it isn´t possible to find a real reason or give some hints

Yes we are using Self Hosted Engine, where Board Web API engine is up and running. (Also restarted it Manually)

Port is also set 9700 , Locally hosted.

Initially when we just type localhost in browser Board used to open on web instantly and that is now stopped.

by any chance can upgrade to 10.5.1 fix some issue we are facing including this ?

Dear Malav Shelat,

Port 9700 is "only" used to communicate with the board Engine where your Capsule(s) and Database(s) are hosted.

Additional to this using the FAT Client you also need port 9700 - 9705 and 9710 to communicate between FAT Client and BOARD Engine.

The WebApi in normally hosted on port 80.

The configuration for the webapi you can find in appSettings.config file.

Attached Screenshot shows my local smple.

Means, on this machine you are able to reach the WebApi using any Browser with URL http://loalhost

or e.g. with the DNS name of the machine, reverse DNS; ....

When you perform any changes inside the appSettings.config you have to restart Board WebAPI Engine to get the changes work

Please have a look to the settings in your configuration and try again.

By the way, to clear your Browsers Cache hit STRG + F5 when Browser is opened.
