Dynamix Axes in DataViews

Hello community,

 

Is it possible to change the entities by row with a procedure?

 

We want to make dynamic axis by using buttons.

Dear Jonas Trompeter,

 

it is not possible changing the axis by procedure.

 

What you can do in your procedure is navigating to another screen, which has the wished axis definition and where the rest looks similar to the base screen.

In addition to Alexander Kappes suggestion of creating multiple similar analyses, you can use some of the native BOARD functionality to allow users to modify the axes on their own, which is the most flexible solution. In the web, users can change the axes using the layout configuration button, and in the win client, the sliding panels allow for a similar user experience.

I totally agree to you when we talk about only reporting solutions. Because when you have enabled DataEntry changing the axis also disables the Dataentry and when you have users interested in such.

 

In the past much often Users told, they want to click buttons in the front end and not changing configuration of layouts.

 

But you are right, this is another interesting solution

Hi Jonas Trompeter ,

I our case when we need several presentations, we use the "folder container" with one tab per layout. You just need to copy / paste the dataview as many time as you have combinations, and it will create a dedicated tab.

As long as you use the "parallel execution" on the screen, the performance is OK.
