"Export data to excel in flattening mode" missing from dataview menu

Hi guys,

    Need help. I am using v9.1.0. How come I don't see "export data to excel in flattening mode" option when I do right click? Is there some settings I need to do in server? TIA!

    sounds like you are using BOARD 9.1 in Combination with Office 2016 or Office 365, is this correct?

     

    Board is compatible to both of this versions starting from BOARD 10. This because the registry settings for Office Changed and BOARD 9 isn´t configured for the new settings of Office

        Thanks for your reply and help! You're right this was exactly the problem. Fix made from our end was to update the user registry.

    Hi, 

    I have a similar issue in a customer with Board 7.3.1 (yes, it is too old...), they have installed Office 365 and then the export to excel icon has dissapeared from the right button menu.

    Anyone knows how to fix it? or it is not compatible with such an old version?

    set it on the value Excel.Application.14 (office 2010)

    ...and force the customer to upgrade the board version: the 7.3.1 is almost 10 years old. it is almost a different world!!

    ...and yes, is an old customer that is using Board since more than 10 years ago, but they don't want to upgrade...

    It seems that after some days, the modification done in the register key is overwritten and then the export to excel icon dissapears again.

    Do you know if there is some way to fix it?

    Dear @Marcos Basañez,
    we have already fixed it, with all the new versions: board 10, board 11...

    The customer is using a very old version of Board, released before Office 365/2016.

    They have only 2 choises:

    • upgrade board
      consider also that the WEB version of Board 10 or 11 does not present any problem at all.
      neither the installation of Office on the device

    • discuss with the IT Team of the customer and identify with them about the reason of the register overwriting

    Thank you for your fast reply. 

    I agree with you regarding the old version that they are using it, I have told them many times to upgrade but taking in to account that it is a super old version, the upgrade will not be a "plug&play" thing, so they don't want to spent money and time on this.
