DataView Cubes not shown by columns

Hi all,

 

I'm showing a cube by Ledger account (By Row) and by year (By Column) for some financial figures.

In addition to this, I would like to add a text cube for comments based on Rows (Ledger Accounts).

My problem is, that the comments cube is shown for each year when I add it into my data view. But I only want to show this in onw column. The user shall enter comments only for the total ledger account and not for every year.

 

Has someone an idear how to handle this in board?

Jörn, you can do this by using the "Detail By" functionality. Remove Year from the column and add it as a "Detail by" to your financial figure block (leave ledger account on the row.) Then, that block will show the Years on the columns, but the comments cube will not. I am assuming that the comments cube is not dimensioned by Year, as you mentioned they should only be able to input 1 comment per row.
