export multiple folder tabs in a screen to the same excel file

Hi....right now, it is possible in Board to export a single DataView into Excel regularly or in Flattening Mode. I have a screen that has multiple DataViews in different folder tabs. I am wondering if it is possible to export all these DataViews (in different tabs) to the same Excel file. This would save me alot of time on a certain project. Thanks!

Hi Todd Andersen,

there are two possibilities to export data, both have their ups and downs.

Implement a procedure to export the layout data (currently this will only export a DataView's data, no headers) from your folders.
Use the MS Office Add-In to build up an excel file with excel sheets representing the folder tabs, updating the data in your excel file manually or automatically.

If you need the header information as well (which I assume you want), the first solution won't help you very much and it will not just update the export but overwrite it with the second export (so no "all into one excel file"). The second solution will need the appropriate license(s) installed (Office Add-In and Broadcasting if you want the file to be updated automatically).

Hi Todd Andersen,

additional to what Helmut Heimann wrote, you can get the wished behaviour also directly from windows Client, when you use the export function out of the BOARD Home Button.
