How to create a zone map?

Hi all,

 

I was looking a bit around on YouTube for BOARD demos and I stumbled upon following video:
Self Service Business Intelligence - BOARD Cube - YouTube 

 

As you can see between minutes 10 and 13, the presenter uses a map of the United States, split up in zones with values and colours adjusting interactively based on the screen selection.

 

Any idea how this can be configured in BOARD 10?

    Thanks! Indeed by using a Cockpit I succeed in creating a zone map.

     

    Some help for people doing it the first time:
    - Drag and drop your alerts to the relevant zone and disable the auto-arrange, to keep the alerts at the right spot.

    - You need to move out of developer mode - to actually see the end result

    - Use the "Filling Tolerance" in "settings" in case your areas are not filled correctly.

    Hi Jonathan,

     

    Looks like a cool feature! I am trying to create the same report using below map of the Netherlands. However, after going into user mode the dots don't turn into colored areas.

     

    Are there requierements for the image that is used as background?

    Hi Rick,

    I tried to replicate my zone map with my old picture as well as with yours and neither still seem to work in 10.3.
    Maybe I forgot to execute some steps, or the latest version doesn't allow to use the zone map anymore.

    If I were you, I would open a ticket in support.board.com for further investigation.

    Sorry I couldn't really help.

    I just discovered it is required to choose the 'Square Alert'  as gauge style.  Just have a look at this link:
