Keep some columns visible while the dataview scrolls

Hello, 

 

I was wondering if it is possible to freeze the first columns (cube blocks) in a dataview when scrolling ?

 

I Have a cube detailed by month (For 5 years) and I wish to keep the total column visible.

    Hi Ahmed Lattali,

     

    first thing coming to my mind would be two DataViews, one for scrolling purposes and the other one just displaying the totals. You could link those two DataViews in order to let them scroll in vertical direction simultaneously.

    Hi Helmut Heimann,

     

    Thanks for your help, linking the two dataviews make it look like it's one table, but when I try to sort by column (by clicking the column header) th other dataview don't synchronise do you have any tips for this one ?

    Hi Ahmed,

     

    Another setting which might help somehow is to change the Total Alignment in the dataview layout.  If you set it to 'Left' the total will appear on the left of the row headings (ie the left most column), and will not move when you scroll.  But this will only work for the Grand Total, not group by totals.
