Server Saving Policies

Does this article board-server-saving-policy ok the KB also apply to the webclient?

We have a client who requires to manually enter quite a bit data on a daily basis, but in very remote locations using satellite connections, with a roundtrip latency of 700ms.

We've been testing with this latency applied and it has significant performance implications with the current structure.

We have been testing a few other structures, but we're wondering if the settings discussed in the article above are worth investigating/testing.

Is anyone able to give some more information on these settings, and advise if they would make any difference?

  • Dear Brendan Broughton,

the saving policy is related to the BOARD Engine, which hosts your Database and Application and the kind Data is saved from Memory to hard disk.

It is not directly related to the client itself. But for sure, e.g. Save Database to Disk procedure steps has to be executed from Clientside to the server.

Other actions just need valid connection between the Browser and the Web API that actions can be performed successfull.

    Hope it helps
