We’re very excited to announce that as of today, November 11th, the following offerings are now live:

• The Foundations of Building in Board course

Board Academy

Your new home for Board platform-based training is now at the all-new Board Academy. The Board Academy training space offers our previously available Board-10 and Board-12 based trainings, as well as all our new courses, including the Foundations of Building in Board and future courses, already in development.


With this migration to the new learning experience, you'll discover a seamless and intuitive learning journey along with new features, such as certificates that can be connected to your LinkedIn account with just a single click!

Please note for access to the Board Academy:

For our customers and partners that previously had access to the BoardEducation site, we've migrated your account to the Board Academy. To access your account, please navigate to the Board Academy and click the Forgot Password? link. Follow the prompts to reset your password and complete your registration to the new learning experience. 

For those who do not yet have an account, please click the Sign Up tab and a registration form will appear in a new browser tab. Please complete and submit the registration form, and then allow for up to two business days for processing. Once your access has been approved and granted you will receive an email confirmation welcoming you to the new Board Academy.

The Foundations of Building in Board Course

The Board Academy team, along with product experts from around the world, have released the Foundations of Building in Board course—the first interactive, multimedia training course on how to understand Board and to begin a journey of building confidently in Board.

You may enroll now in this brand-new training to learn the basics of Board and build along using our fictional Clarity Jewelers company. When you’re finished, you’ll earn a certificate of completion for your efforts that can be added to your LinkedIn profile in just one click. If you’re already a Board expert, show off your knowledge by jumping ahead to the final quiz to test out of our new eLearning course right away.

What has changed for me?
Board has reinvigorated our learning and communication platform where you can train with self-paced courses, beginning with the Foundations of Building in Board.

Why is Board changing its training direction?
Our oath to you, our customers and partners, is to empower you for Intelligent Planning so you actively drive your success. The comprehensive training to leverage Board quickly and painlessly, enables faster adoption—which means faster results for you.

What’s different about the training courses?
The courses have been designed with all new material, having replaced typical video lectures with interactive eLearning, using a simulated interface based on a fictionalized company’s data. Each learner will use actual data which has been loaded into Board for an imaginary company: Clarity Jewelers.

Why did Board create a fictional company, Clarity Jewelers, for its training—I don’t know anything about Jewelry?
For faster learning of how to use the Board software, learners will use and see how Board functions, without any risk to confidential data. Learners can use the simulated training and the data, with a common customer and product to work with. We picked the jewelry business because it exists everywhere around the world, it crosses all age groups, and it’s something that everyone has seen or owns. We think it’s a gem of an idea.

What new courses are in the Board Academy?
The first course is what a college might call Board 101, or Intro to Board. The Foundations of Building in Board is an interactive course that presents the basic information a user needs to begin their journey of Intelligent Planning with Board. Learners will interact with the Board planning platform, with real data, no longer just watching videos of experts doing the work for you.

Do I have to pay for the eLearning courses on the Board Academy?
There isn’t any cost for the Board Academy self-guided eLearning courses.
