Filter on Dataview
Hi BOARD Community,
I have a question on the Filter options.
In the current dataview I get the top 10 negative Contribution Margins Countries per Publisher.
I am looking for a way to show the top 10 negative Countries overall but still keep the Publisher connection. So in the end I want to have just 10 entries in total.
For Example:
Publisher 1:
1. Germany
2. India
3. Venezuela
Publisher 2:
4. England
5. Germany
Publisher 3:
6. Laos
7. Argentina
8. Belgium
9. Greece
10. Germany
Is there a way to get this done?
Thanks
Mathias

Hi @Mathias Flintrop,
sorry for the late reply.
My idea would be to first calculate the 10 Flops in a dataflow and mark those countries in a select cube which you then can use to filter your data.
It can be that you'll need a second entity for your countries which is not connected to the publishers. That would of course complicate matters--but, after all, that's just an idea, I would try out.
Kind Regards,
Helmut

Thanks @Helmut Heimann for your reply, the report lost priority in the past weeks so I did not further investigate on this topic.
Just out of curiosity for future cases, the step you mentioned "mark those countries in a select cube which you then can use to filter your data" can this be automated by a data-flow / procedure or would this be a manual selection step. Not looking for a description of a solution here, just want to understande if this could be automated or not
Thanks
Mathias

Hi Matthias,
the calculation of the Flops would determine the countries you would have to select and the appropriate select-cube will be populated according to the calculations' result--this can be done automatically.
